Mohawk Insurance Services, Inc. is seeking an energetic, driven, and disciplined individual to join our Account Management and Marketing team. This role requires management of a large book of business, more than five plus years of experience in an Account Executive role. The Agency Account Executive role will provide a high level of support to the producers and customer service to clients. The position requires a significant degree of independent judgment and discretion in order to meet those service levels. This role will assist in the production of new and renewal accounts in keeping with Agency and individual Producer goals and provide a field of service in support of Producer activities. We offer a “best of both worlds” opportunity for experienced insurance professionals.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Receives and develops new business leads from Producers or identifies and develops cross-sell opportunities.
  • Responsible for renewal business and soliciting additional lines of coverage.
  • Services accounts and provides claims assistance as needed.
  • Completes applications, obtains quotes, negotiates premiums and commissions, prepares proposals and presentations.
  • Binds coverage, prepares binders and delegates certificates.
  • Reviews coverage identifies deficiencies and determines appropriate level of coverage.
  • Meets with clients as needed or directed by producer.
  • Reviews accounting history, responds to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies, and contacts client on receivable collections.
  • Serves as technical expert, assisting department members to resolve complex issues.
  • Collection of fees, reconciliation, and resolution of any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date.
  • Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Mohawk Insurance Services, Inc. is looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. This is a dynamic role, that will provide a spectrum of innovative strategies to develop and maintain customer's insurance and risk management needs.


Core responsibilities include:

  • Marketing and account management for assigned clients.
  • Coordinate all aspects of renewal marketing process with client and provide program structure, review and analysis.
  • Prepare account specifications, negotiate pricing and finalize policy conditions.
  • Prepare summaries to be transmitted with policies. Policies to be checked and transmitted in a timely manner.
  • Prepare invoices, work with staff to issue COIs & EOIs in an expeditious manner that will meet both client and vendor needs.
  • Prepare account proposals for presentation.
  • Provide technical competence in areas of coverage and current markets.
  • Explain and clarify coverage forms to clients.
  • Manage account services, coordinate and direct the activities.
  • Expand existing accounts by developing new coverages.
  • Thorough documentation is required on each account with proper E&O procedures strictly followed.
  • Ability to handle complex accounts.
  • Other duties and special technical projects as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
  • P&C Insurance license required.
  • CIC or equivalent designation preferred, such as CPCU or ARM.
  • Minimum of 4 years of insurance experience in an Account Management position.

Mohawk Insurance Services, Inc. is building a technology-first and data-driven claims experience to enhance member experience while eliminating traditional claims inefficiencies. We are in need of an experienced recovery claims professional to lead our efforts in continuing to build out our claim’s organization. The ideal candidate will be a recovery-focused “do-er”. They should not be afraid to roll their sleeves up to ensure we’re achieving industry best recovery outcomes all while making sure we’re delivering on our promise to our members.


Position Focus:

  • Act as a liaison between the agency, carriers and clients to maintain effective working relationships
  • First report of claims, extend full courtesy and help to navigate the claim process.
  • Review coverage denials to determine the exclusions are appropriate and negotiate favorable resolutions with the carrier and the client
  • Reviewing accounts for adequate coverage and recommending appropriate coverage to account manager
  • Conduct open claim review and follow up on open claim diaries to insure proper handling or settlement
  • Support all Mohawk Insurance initiatives as requested, guided by company values, sales culture, business needs and scorecard

Education/Experience Required:

  • At least three years of experience in a similar or related position
  • Relevant knowledge of personal lines claims adjustment and evaluation process
  • Microsoft Office experience and skills are a must; AMS 360 experience preferred
  • Ability to work well independently and on a team
  • Property/Casualty license and/or claims-related designation preferred
  • Open to continuing education, Associate degree or higher preferred
